☝My art stall in Deaffest (Wolverhampton) last weekend!
Unfortunately I didn't sell anything but I did get to chat with some artists and art enthastists about my business and swap contact details. Getting my name out there is the main thing really. I've got feedbacks from them- they were impressed with my talent however some mentioned that my art work weren't something to put up on their walls and some mentioned that they were too expensive (although my work were cheap in comparison of other work you see anywhere).
So I will need to think about how I can sell paintings- I'd probably change my style, steering away from portraiture field and try something more abstract/general. Part of me didn't want to change myself as an artist for the public. I am thinking I can keep my style but only adjust the topic a bit to make my paintings more saleable. About the price, I might have to lower it but not too much because oil paints are so expensive!
Of course, because it was first time to hold the stall, it looked a bit ugly and I think I should decorate more next time. Have you hold the stall before and what are your top tips?
