MY FIRST EVER ART STALL

☝My art stall in Deaffest (Wolverhampton) last weekend!

Unfortunately I didn't sell anything but I did get to chat with some artists and art enthastists about my business and swap contact details. Getting my name out there is the main thing really. I've got feedbacks from them- they were impressed with my talent however some mentioned that my art work weren't something to put up on their walls and some mentioned that they were too expensive (although my work were cheap in comparison of other work you see anywhere).

So I will need to think about how I can sell paintings- I'd probably change my style, steering away from portraiture field and try something more abstract/general. Part of me didn't want to change myself as an artist for the public. I am thinking I can keep my style but only adjust the topic a bit to make my paintings more saleable. About the price, I might have to lower it but not too much because oil paints are so expensive!

Of course, because it was first time to hold the stall, it looked a bit ugly and I think I should decorate more next time. Have you hold the stall before and what are your top tips?

MODELS OWN POW NAIL STICKERS

Wham! Crash! Boom! Bang! Pow!

Easy to use. Cool look.

9/ 10! (not 10 because my fingers were slightly too fat and short for each sticker!)

NEW STUFF

I woke up early despite going to bed late last night after watching Love's Labour Lost BSL play (which was absolutely brilliant!) and caught up with some old faces.

I went straight to my studio, making handmade prints and preparing stuff in the suitcase. I am having a stall in Deaffest (annual Deaf film festival in Wolverhampton) selling my artwork and prints as well as advertising my art business. I am both nervous and excited! Just a quick note: I've left my job on Tuesday due personal reasons. I am a bit sad about that but I will be ok. Looking at the bright side, I am inspired again and want to work harder on my art business- with a lot of ideas/ projects. I am able to blog more too- yayness!

So hot day out, I made a quick trip to Brick Lane that was only 30 minutes away and bought some lovely stuff. I could have bought a lot more, including the rip-off creepers but I had to refrain myself! I'd probably buy creepers once I get to sell one of my paintings as a treat mmm.

As I bought all those stuff, I came up with the outfit: Oh My Love crop vest over my trusty black fitted dress and funk it up with Rokit denim waistcoat and heart sunglasses. Then slip on those pop red vans from Office! Ahh. Perhaps an outfit post soon?!

Bought anything awesome recently? Leave the link!

Have the most coolest weekend, blog friends xo

THE MOONWALK

Look at my decorated bra! Thankfully I had million of different fabrics in my art studio, I just picked leopard print, cow print and pink fur and cut them in triangles because our deaf women's group is called Triangle. Since it was a feel good experience, I am SO doing it again next year!! Please donate if you can, massive thanks in advance:

CREEPERS

love: creepers ♡

i tried it for the first time last week and fell in love! i like the single sole ones. i am not sure about double sole, it makes my feet gigantic as i am already size 8. i am after mustard yellow or dark blue with cow prints in the middle. i am definitely not after full on grungy look but a twist, I would pair them with soft dresses, classic jeans & white tee and such! what do you think? what are you loving?

since they are expensive, i won't be getting one anytime soon. i am hoping this summer or end of this year after i've saved up up to £100 in my creepers envelope!

ohh by the way- i completed the moonwalk at 4 hours! definitely my best time ever (had been training). however, my knees and feet are proper ruined. nurturing them with deep freeze cold gel and germolene, all should be fine very soon. i am very proud of myself. the atmosphere was unbelievable! i've raised over a thousand pounds as a team between five of us. photos coming up, watch that space xo

MORE SHOES

☝Exact words from Mum when she saw my new purchase. My excuse was that they were on the sale and I just had to grab it!

As always, I took them out and tried walking in them- so far it is comfortable! Notice the platforms hidden inside! However, I have a swollen ankle from weeks ago and the ankle strap doesn't fit at the moment. Can't wait for it to recover so I can show them off!

Speaking about my ankle, I am going to make it worse by going to the MoonWalk tonight- not wise but I am not wasting £50 and quitting. I will be gentle with it and use support sock.

Anyway- so excited for it!! With my decorated bra... Photos be coming soon.

BLOG LOVE, xo

TRUFFLESHUFFLE

I've found where I'd automatically go online for when I am needing some cool t-shirts or vest tops- it is the wonderful TruffleShuffle! There are many awesome tops and I've recently bought three from there. Their material are sturdy and in good quality, as well as smooth! I can imagine they will last long. I am loving all of their designs, oh so retro!

ART UPDATE

Recently, my portfolio website and online boutique has been heavily revamped but I kept the same feel, which are minimal and fresh. I wanted my art works to be the focus.

I've added some more drawings too. I have painted two pictures last week- I will sure put them up very soon!

I'd really appreciate if you could have a nose around and comment with your feedback. I aim to live my life through art so every one feedback counts. Thank you! xo

BLOOD DIPPED FINGERNAILS

Scary title? This was the first thing Mum said when she saw my new nail art. But she ended with- "But it is lovely!"

Anyway, I am loving it, it is like wearing a new top and showing it off! I am definitely use this style again, experimenting with different colours. At the first, I actually planned to paint my nails in french manicure but my white nail pen got dry! Everything happens for the reason. :)
